It takes time to grow your business, but I’m a firm believer that you can go pretty far with the help of a very strong and supportive group. That help can take on many forms. In my case, it could be a friend passing on a lead that may turn into a new client. Or maybe a former colleague offering their time to proof some creative materials.
Sometimes the support can be less tangible but just as beneficial to developing my business.
Here’s what I mean.. In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year my mom gave me a mini poster that my dad picked up for my office. Loosely translated, the characters say “Wishing great prosperity for your business for the new year “
The poster was just what I needed. A perfect, elegant reminder that they believe in me, wish me success, and support my dreams as I continue to build my business in an endeavor that I am passionate about.
So now if I have a hard day, I can always look up at this poster for inspiration and be reminded of my cheering squad. This is a business “tool” that’s just as valuable to me as a high definition camera, a database filled with client addresses or editing software.

Chinese New Years,
Parents
