For a fellow working at the HQ of a video production company in the Boston area (i.e. Sha La La La Productions), any time I get to go outside for a shoot is a FANTASTIC DAY! Why? Well I’m glad you ask. For one, I get to go outside, and let’s face it, who doesn’t like to get away from their desk, and go out? Especially if it’s work related. It does feel like being a kid again at school who gets to leave the classroom and go out on a fun filled field trip, Two it’s just a joy to watch and film people do what they do best in their natural setting. This past weekend, we did a shoot of a Mobile Vehicle Detailing Service called, Details on the Run.
The one nice takeaway is that anytime you have footage of your client in action of what they do best, your videos are that much better. It just paints a great picture of what they can do. Especially if they mention a specific service on film.
The staff was just fun to be with, I’ve got to admit I thought I was the best at flashing a great smile, but co-owner Reggie Desir has me beaten big time! When they came out to the site for the detailing, they had all their gear at their disposal. I literally lost count of the number of equipment, and boxes they brought for just one car, I almost thought they were going to build a store right there since they brought everything with them, that really got my attention. I could go on and say how much great work and care they put into their work, and I could go on to say it was even a bigger joy to see them apply their fine craft on my car too, but it’s better if you see and experience it first hand for yourself. 🙂
